The dynamic in real time nature of this music is what makes us unique and stand out from other forms of music. There were 70 in 2019 Algoraves in the last few years. There\u2019ve been Algoraves in over 80 different cities around the world, in countries like Argentina, Mexico, Japan. We had an exchange with Japanese live coders last year between Yorkshire and Tokyo. Some call it a revolution for the tech industry but we the makers and coders of this type of music simply see it as a zone where we can experiment and serve our audiences.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u2018Algorave\u2019 is a mash-up of \u2018algorithm\u2019 (from computer code) and \u2018rave music\u2019\u2014the name pretty much speaks for itself.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
It\u2019s geeky yet cool at the same time. For most people, the only type of code involved in clubbing is a dress code. However, it turns out there\u2019s a whole musical subculture based around watching people who love computers and create dance music with live computer coding.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
